33b02751-d8ae-4388-9a66-b74b50185e5aGetting our TV talk show Wildfire back on the air has been a great experience. Special thanks to all of you who let us know how much you missed the show.

My cohost James Cote and I feature a single guest on each show, and focus on critical outdoor issues. But sometimes we just like to have fun. That’s what we’ll be doing in a show that we’re taping next week with Kate Krukowski Gooding, a wild game cookbook author and very entertaining speaker. That show will be taped in a kitchen, and I won’t tell you now what Kate will be cooking for us, but it’s going to be fantastic!

Show number three – airing for the first time on May 10 – features Roberta Scruggs, Communications Director of the Maine Forest Products Council. For many years Roberta was an award-winning outdoor reporter for the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram, and we talked to her about that, about issues of concern to landowners who provide a lot of the places where we enjoy out outdoor activities, and of course, about the status of our forest products industry.

Each edition of Wildlife is aired on Time Warner cable station 9 on Tuesdays at 7 pm, Thursdays at 6:30 pm, and Sundays at 9:30 am. Each edition will air for two weeks, so you have no excuse for missing it! You can also access the show online at www.vstv.me.

If you missed the first two shows, featuring outdoor reporter Deirdre Fleming and Don Kleiner of the Maine Professional Guides Association, you can see them now at www.vstv.me.

Each edition of Wildfire also presents a survey question that viewers are invited to answer. Yes, we want to engage you in this process. You can access the questions posed on the first three shows in the Sportsmen Say Survey section of my website: www.georgesmithmaine.com.
